Gripping the Wire
Vague prayers emerge in my blood rushed brain. Adrenaline ruling my petrified body, commanding me to continue the unsteady and uncertain death sentence. My muscles cry for mercy but I keep struggling forward. My legs buckle under my trembling upper body as I leap toward my life saver. The rugged wooden platform, the rugged uneven platform.

Finding a Way
Panting in fear
wind brushing my face .
Wiping the tears never look back at the gun and flare
If only mummy were here.
As I run further and try to hide
I'm filled with fear
I can not bear it no longer because I'm so scared
Running home as fast as I can
I desperately need a new plan.

Math
Some of our year 7 students working together on some hard math problems that we've been working on this term.
Our teacher showing us how to work out these wicked questions.
Fitness
A new game we've learnt is a new version of Captions Coming involving our mihi.
Using our teamwork skills as we come together to make an iwi.
Helping each other form a marae.
I'm lost without
I fly freely down the vertical stairwell as I go cheerfully to my lovely friend that
patches up my heart as everyday goes by. If I didn't have him my life will just end.
Finally I realise he is gone.

Passage in time
My chest heaves as my mattered blood stained hair collapses over my watery eyes. Waterfalls of blood gushes from my temple. I bow my head towards my palms, skin dangles and sways in the speed of my flee. I risk a glance behind and blood shot eyes x-ray me.

Baking
Last term we had to write a poem about a topic of our choice. My topic that I chose is baking. Here is my poem.
Placing the apron over my head
Washing my hands like my mother always said
Putting the ingredients on the table
And realised I misread the label
Mixing crippled dough
Fresh warm smells drown my senses
Stroking spoons with tongues
Children burning there miniature fingers
While the smell of cookie lingers
Finally the timer stops
Touching the crispy golden tops
The soft fluffy fusion warms my taste buds
As the dishes sit and soak in the suds
Devouring my yummies
As it sits and warms their tummies
It was the dish of the day
All done yay

Dog safety training
Dog safety training! We had two people from Selwyn
District council talking to Kiwi and Kereru class all about
how to react when we're around dogs.
They taught us about why dogs behaviour
is how it is, how to be a good owner and how to deal with
situations with lost dogs or just dogs without their
Owners.
This is Seeka!! Three students from both Kiwi and Kereru
came up and gave her a pat. We learnt where to pat
her and how. We also got told to always listen to the
owners response.
