Ashley Gorge Camp

What an awesome camp! I hope everyone has recovered... I am definitely feeling better after a 12 hour sleep on Friday night! A huge thank you to all the parents who helped out on camp. I know the children of Kereru and Kiwi loved their time at Ashley Gorge, and of course we couldn't have done it without such an awesome group of parents. Thank you!

"Hey Sarah, how do we get the air out of the tent?"....
Bush walk day one... Mt Thomas Forest.
 Low ropes in down time.
SUCCESS!! One tent standing - looking sturdy and ready for the week.
"Are you sure this is possible?" George and Mary aren't too sure if this is a prank or possible to escape!
Rafting down the rapids... "Oars up!"
"Hmmm, I know it is possible, but I just don't get it!"
The Year 7 & 8's after the 'Ice cold stream walk' "We conquered the walk!"
The stream walk. Bags on heads and in we go!
Tyrolean Traverse - it took the whole team to set up and run this awesome activity.
Bopper tag with Ann, George and Sarah. How cool are the parents getting in there and playing too!
Hmmm, not sure you've quite got the idea Brayden and Ben.. You're meant to untangle, not become more tangled! :)
Team work! Getting the girls tent down.
William Pike - here we come! We have had a great time practicing so many skills on camp!! Bring on the 8 challenges for the year!

  1. Thanks for having me on camp as a parent help. I really enjoyed my time there and came home very tired as well. Thanks to those who help support Brock with his camp challenges too.
You are all a awesome bunch of Ladbrooks students.

  2. Hi Sarah and Linda Thanks for organising such a awesome camp. I enjoyed all the challenges but enjoyed doing orienteering the most. I also thoroughly enjoyed going to the observatory and learning all about the stars and planets around us. Pity we couldn't see them cause of the cloud coverage. Thanks to Heather and her Husband for setting up and teaching the orienteering to us.
