Alaskan Malamutes visit Kereru class :)

Today Iain and Jennny brought their Alaskan Malamutes to school to visit. They have a lot of experience with these dogs (having 5 of their own!) both training and racing during the winter season. They were able to answer many questions from the learners in Kereru, Kiwi and also Toroa.

    We loved seeing the Alaskan Malamutes in Toroa. We were really lucky to see them. They were so fluffy and had such big paws. I wondered if their paws got cold when they pulled sleds in the snow or whether their paws had developed such thick skin that they didn't notice. What do you think, Kereru?
