Making Dumplings with Connie

What an awesome day we had on Monday. making dumplings with Connie to end another term of Mandarin learning.
First we had to learn how to use chopsticks.
Then we had to fill and fold the dumplings. The filling was made of pork mince, celery, shallot and soy sauce.
Enough dumplings to feed an army!
Connie and Sarah fried the dumplings. You can have them fried, steamed or boiled.
Then we ATE the dumplings. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm delicious.

Kids 2 Town visit 2015

Kereru and Kiwi's Visit to Town

Last week on Monday Kereru and Kiwi Class went into Christchurch City for the day.
We saw lots of different things we never thought existed and managed to get some great photos, which will be uploaded soon.

We managed to get a ride on the tram round the town and had lunch in the Cathedral Square.
We had a look in the museum which was really cool
We went and looked at the Spectrum Arts, which was incredibly awesome!

It was a really great experience and everyone really enjoyed it.

Wicked Writers!

Check out the writing on our 'Wicked Writers' Page. There are about 8 samples of 'A Gallipoli Story' on there and next week we will upload some of the more recent '17th Century London'. Please comment and let us know what you think :)

Halswell river clean up and Kids Plant out Day!!

After cleaning up the Halswell River on Leadleys Road, we went back during the Kids Plant Out Day to replant it! What an awesome experience.

We found 22 tyres  and an old microwave that had been dumped.

We planted over 200 trees throughout the day. Our group planted about 150 at the river.
