Kings Swimming lessons start this Monday 23rd March!

A reminder to all of Kereru that swimming lessons at Kings start on Monday.
You will need togs, towel, swimming cap and goggles with you every day for the next two weeks.

Ashley Gorge Camp

What an awesome camp! I hope everyone has recovered... I am definitely feeling better after a 12 hour sleep on Friday night! A huge thank you to all the parents who helped out on camp. I know the children of Kereru and Kiwi loved their time at Ashley Gorge, and of course we couldn't have done it without such an awesome group of parents. Thank you!

"Hey Sarah, how do we get the air out of the tent?"....
Bush walk day one... Mt Thomas Forest.
 Low ropes in down time.
SUCCESS!! One tent standing - looking sturdy and ready for the week.
"Are you sure this is possible?" George and Mary aren't too sure if this is a prank or possible to escape!
Rafting down the rapids... "Oars up!"
"Hmmm, I know it is possible, but I just don't get it!"
The Year 7 & 8's after the 'Ice cold stream walk' "We conquered the walk!"
The stream walk. Bags on heads and in we go!
Tyrolean Traverse - it took the whole team to set up and run this awesome activity.
Bopper tag with Ann, George and Sarah. How cool are the parents getting in there and playing too!
Hmmm, not sure you've quite got the idea Brayden and Ben.. You're meant to untangle, not become more tangled! :)
Team work! Getting the girls tent down.
William Pike - here we come! We have had a great time practicing so many skills on camp!! Bring on the 8 challenges for the year!

Camp this week!

A few reminders...
Don't forget to check your gear list. All of you have one in your camp books. Please bring these books back on Monday as you will need them and I will hold on to them and take them out to camp on Tuesday.

Wet weather gear is a must! It looks like we may have some rain so please make sure you have wet weather gear and plenty of plastic bags for wet clothes.

Insect repellent is a must. With this rain that is meant to be coming we will definitely have mozzies.  If you know you react badly to these bites please bring cream or antihistamines as part of your medication.

Orienteering with Heather

On Wednesday we had an awesome opportunity to learn about orienteering with Heather. We all learnt a lot and are feeling ready to do some more orienteering at camp! Thank you Heather! 👍

Kereru & Kiwi Bake Sale

A huge thank you to all those Ladbrooks families who donated baking and home made goods to our bake sale. We made over $500. We couldn't have done it without your donations. We'll done to all those senior students who helped to set up and sell our goodies. You all did a great job!
