In the Deans Bush there sat a proud and magnificent pure white tiger.
The beautiful beast turns and disappears into the unforgettable forest.
He sences the presence of another life form.

Inigo Dusk
Cool air shatter diamonds into the indigo night.
Rich and loumones skies glimmer over the glossy reservoir.
Shards of light part the water rippling away off into the wilderness.
A cemetery of driftwood lies lifelessly in the unblemished sand.
A symphony of life warms the ragged kingdom.

A Million Crystals
The velvety blue sky sparkles like a million crystals.
Dancing like fireworks exploding, lighting up the dark sky.
Hundreds of miles away.
Stars glisten reflecting on the shallow smooth water.
Bits of red and gold streak the night sky like a painters easel.
The Adrenaline Pumps
Oh no!
I look ahead. I see danger. I say to myself am I going to make it through the life threatening course?
I look ahead. I see danger. I say to myself am I going to make it through the life threatening course?
I grit my teeth as my knees are chattering like teeth. I journey through the course holding on for my life.
Finally I get though the course. I got though level 1, 2 and 3. I say "yes!" I was so happy .
Lilly bay beach writing
This is my descriptive writing on a beautiful beach called Lilly Bay Beach.
Gloomy, dark clouds flood the bay threatening to shut out the sun.
The icy air flows across the blue, glassy lake.
Red fire burns though the sky burning anything in it's path.
Silhouettes of trees loom over the soft sand, sending shadows into the darkness.
Speckled glitter appears in the shadows, giving hope across the dark lake.

Paradise Bay
Raging fire lights up the sky around me. Burning embers float up above creating nightlight stars. Midnight silhouettes surround the shimmered lake like puzzle pieces joined together. Gems peek through the darkness bringing life to the mirrored lake. The trees stand like soldiers strong and bold protecting the fortress lake.
Sweet Dreams
Airy blackness gulps and growls,
Wolves in the forest wine and howl,
Sweet dreams.
Terroir reins, screams echo,
Purple monsters and mutant geckos,
Sweet dreams.
Unicorns wail, bunnies cry,
Wizards torture, turtles die,
Sweet dreams.
Scaly hands reach and clasp,
Raspy croaks pant and gasp,
Sweet dreams.
Wake up and shout out,
Shadows dance, I start to doubt,
Sweet dreams,
Or maybe a nightmare...
Full Moon
I snarl and howl as the cloud passes across the
full moon. Instinct rears and urges me to pounce. Piercing shrieks echo around
the deserted ally way. My fangs shimmer in the midnight light as blood trickles
down my mattered fur. My raspy growl alerts my victim.

BananaGrams
During reading today some of our year 7/8 students decided to play Banagrams it is like scrabble but different. Instead of following the rules they chose to use all the letters and make one big one. These are all the words that they made.
Flying high
I seize the chilling wire with my pasty white knuckles and tender fingers as I see tinted colours swerving through the trees. I brace myself for another descending trip down the angled, rugged rope. My heart pounds as I gaze down at the concaving ground. I grasp the cable for the final time as I anxiously let go and fly though the husky chilled air. I unsteadily transfer my weight onto the unlevelled platform as I gasp a breath. A breath of relief.
Flanders Field
Green streaked with red the blood will flow,
Men wave goodbyes they don't know.
Young warriors sit crammed in boats,
40 soldiers bearly afloat.
Gun shots pepper the night,
Bodies lie in the morning light.
Fallen friends of which they pass,
Belongings scattered all through the grass.
The A.N.Z.A.Cs stand in scungy trenches,
The wounded sit bandaged on benches.
Silence falls across the land,
Bibles sit close at hand.
The last post sounds through the air,
As the left over soldiers say their prayers.
Flanders field where poppies blow,
Crosses stand row by row.
Lest we forget

Te Paki Sand Dunes
At the Te Paki Sand Dunes it was really windy. The golden grain sand was blowing on our mosquito bitten infested legs. It stung our legs and felt like someone slapping you on the face. When we ran down the sand dunes, it was so steep that my brother couldn't control himself. He spun over like a barrel rolling down a hill.
Sugary sweets
A bowl of candy,
a bag of treats.
A dish of tasty, sugary sweets.

The Nasty Game
During maths we played a game called The Nasty Game. We had a lot of fun competing against each other.
Maths
Today for maths we all had to work out a variety of interesting problems. Look at how hard we are working.
Supernatural powers!
As I went to bed I had a courageous and mysterious feeling in me.
When I fell asleep my blood was speeding fast and I kept tossing and turning all night.
Next day, at school, I had fitness and we had to climb this rope and sit on the beams. I couldn't usually do it but today was different.
I was about to climb the rope when I wished I could fly and whalaaaa I flew to the beams. I realised I was separated from the others. I was shocked and my face was pale white with distress.
Chinese
Here are some of our students working hard with Chinese today!

Oreo got her first taste of our school carrots today. Unfortunately they aren't very big so she ate 4 at a time! She was then hyped up and decided to do some acrobats.
Leadership skills
Today Chris from Joshua foundation came to our classroom and taught us how to be leaders.
He also shared with us his amazing past experiences of leading and about his life.
The PowerPoint he went through with us was teaching everyone what a great leader acts like.
Three year 7 and 8 students from Kereru joining in with Chris doing the awesome learning.
Joshua foundation activities
Joshua Foundation came to our school last week. We learnt about how to be great leaders.
Apart from learning fantastic leadership skills inside, we also went outside and did some cool activities. We even had to get close to other students in the class and break our personal bubbles.

Bike baron
As I yank the throttle to the max I feel the rush of acceleration zipping though my blood. I'm in the air Time is standing still, I adjust myself for the perfect landing. But then I panic, I've come up too short I'm not going to make it. All I see is the barrels of TNT then... A sharp pain stabs though me. Blackness, dark and miserable....... DEATH!
MX extreme
As I turn the throttle my bike bursts out flying through the air, I get the flow. Yes. Then I realise I'm going too fast. I'll crash. Then it happens, my brain explodes into action; It had to be the barrel jump.

Indian Tag
Kereru class has got a new game, Indian tag!!! Stephen came and taught us on Wednesday and for fitness we learnt this game. There are two teams, one team are taggers who are lined across the court facing different ways and the other team are runners who are lined up in the corner of the tennis court.
One runner runs onto the court and tries to not get tagged by the tagger. The taggers then run after the runner but can only stay on the half of the court they were facing.
It is really fun and Kereru love playing it!
Stars@Ladbrooks
Well done to everyone that performed at Stars@Ladbrooks today!!!! You were awesome! Thank you to the parents that came and watch.
