Trip to McCarthys farm

Today we felt very lucky to be invited to thew McCarthys farm. Grant showed us the type of soil they have and explained how and why it is so good for growing crops.

We saw the machines in the shed and found out how important these machines are and how the farmers rely on them running well... it's always good to have a back up!

We saw the cows eating Sugar beet and learned how this is not the only good food they get! They also eat hay, kale and grass.
